Of Feathers And Flames- A Wings of Fire AU RP

"Heck." Kal shrugged.
Kassa nodded. "Yeah, we've been in The Den. The whole dang time. Born in Yair-, uh, Roe's dad's lot? So, it wasn't that bad of a life for us. We had Roe. She sold off every other dragon when she took over the lot, even the fancy killer ones. But she kept the RainWings."
"Her mistake." Kal commented.
"Her mistake." Kassa agreed.
"Dude, how long were you in The Den for?" Kal asked, poking Cas' shoulder. "Cuz, friggin depressing we haven't met until now."

@Blue Raptor
“Uhh, a week?” Cas replied. “They tried to ‘test’ me or whatever against a SandWing who like the JERK HE WAS just beat me up and almost stabbed me with his tail. Then they tried to make me fight two others later— like, another SkyWing who ignored to me when I tried to talk some SENSE into him and a weird-lookin hybrid or whatever— and, obviously. I. Beeaaat theemm..” Cas drawled out, half-rolling his eyes and rolling his head towards the right as he tapped two claws together.

“Stay away from me,” Corvus hissed, crouching closer to the ground.

What even was this dude?

Part human, and one of Vultures toys. That’s all Corvus needed to know.

If Corvus managed to fly away and escape, this creature would simply find him again.

He had to get rid of him.

Corvus had never killed anything bigger than a deer before, let alone another dragon. If this even counted.

He curled his claws into the mulchy forest floor. He was bigger. Stronger. He had the advantage here.

Right?

Corvus shook his head, pinning back his ears and baring his teeth, crest standing tall.

He lunged, claws outstretched, aiming to grab the mutants scaled arms.

(Corvus is an awful fighter, bee-tee-dubs)

He still doesn't trust me... Sage kept his cold stare on the dragon as he crouched low, preparing for an attack. Sage stood relaxed and calm. He'd dealt with many situations like these before. The dragon bared his teeth and Sage continued his stare, the shadows on his face growing darker as his concentration increased. Alright, he wants to do this the hard way.
The cloudwing lunged forward, claws outstretched and coming quickly. Lightly, Sage leapt sideways and out of harms way, his smaller size than the dragon making him more nimble and quick. Looking back at the dragon, he could see the surprised expression. "We don't have to be enemies, cloudwing."

(Guys, I'm sorry, but I suck at writing action scenes lol.)

Sol had basically drowned out the dragons ridiculous, meaningless words. But then a human entered the trailer, short, his face square, scruffy gray beard- Monzy.
Why did he feel relieved?
Because it was a human. And even though the dragons around him were kind and gentle-...
Sol traced his emotions back, trying to pin down straying feelings and find answers.
He depended on humans.
His whole life he'd been surrounded by humans, hardly interacting with dragons if possible. He was too good for them.
Monzy gave a good natured grin as he walked up to Kassa and Kal.
"Yah beat them awwwll?" Kassa mock gawked.
"Course he did. He's just that freaking good." Kal shrugged, winking at Monzy.
Sol sought to catch the human's gaze, but Monzy turned away. "K, folks, stay here. Almost got everyone loaded. We'll head out soon."
Sol sighed heavily, tempted to glance up at Tobias, but that would mean moving his head from the man's lap, and he could feel how hard Tobias was leaning against him. The human wasn't asleep, Sol could quick movements and uncertain breaths. He closed his eyes, sighing as the dragons continued their playful banter.

Alicanto felt his splitting headache flare torturously as Vel's wing connected with his skull. His vision blurred again and he lashed out instinctively from his awkward position on the ground, trying in vain to defend himself, trying to pull out from beneath the talon placed against the wound on his throat.
He felt the Rainwing catch his talon in a painful grip and shove it against his neck. The pain that was throbbing from the wound made his stomach wretch, and he was afraid he wouldn't be able to keep down the bile rising in his throat.
"Stay. Down."
He vaguely heard her words through the ringing in his ears, and he stopped struggling, realizing as she explained the necessity to keep the pressure against the wound.
Stop panicking, He thought fiercely to himself. Panic drowns thought.
He watched Vel pace away, scraping for every last bit of strength he had to keep his talon pressed against his neck.
What is she doing?
He readjusted, shifting into a more comfortable position as he tracked the Rainwing with his gaze.

Vel pulled the vehicles off the road, she moved the NightWings body, and she searched to assist any survivors.
There weren't any.
Six cars in total. Ten people had died.
Because of some idiots ego.
Vel lumbered back to the CloudWing, rage boiling in her heart.
The blood was staining the sand. A lot of sand.
The CloudWing watched her, his gaze steady, yet unfocused.
"Don't faint, now." She growled, snatching his talon back from his neck. The blood dripped steadily, and she hissed, shaking her head. "More pressure. You cannot let up, this is bad, okay?"
Vel glanced back at the freeway, the steady sound of car alarms blaring. Police would be here soon. The SDP. And then she'd be drugged up and useless.
She shifted her scales to match the flat desert sand, moving to reposition the CloudWing's talon. Vel met his strained gaze, shoving his talon back down on the wound. "That hard. No-" she moved his talon back. "That hard. Or you're legit gunna die out in the mide of nowhere like the complete idiot you are." She gave a fake smile, rolling her eyes. Vel scanned his body for more injuries, but, other than the odd feathers sticking up at strange angles, he seemed in generally good condition.
"We have to get back to the dunes. That's a twenty minute flight. There we can try to stop the bleeding."
It felt like she was talking to the sand. He wasn't really listening to her, was he? The haze clouding his eyes and his trembling talon weakly clutching his neck- she shook her head.
This dragon was going to die.
But Vel refused.
She couldn't let him.
Wouldn't let him.

“Says the creepy one skulking around in the dark and trying to recruit me to an evil underground organization,” Corvus scoffed. He began to pace in a wide circle around Sage, searching for an opening while also trying to stay out of reach.
