% of protein to use for ducklings and quail

You can feed the egg layers this?
When they are not laying. You have to kick the protein up to 20% when it is breeding/laying season. Purina recommends using their 20% Breeder Layena starting 4 weeks before and during laying.

Be very careful when buying them if your feed store carries it.
They use the exact same bag for all their game bird feeds so it is imperative you read the guaranteed analysis tag. Game bird starter is 30% while the maintenance feed is 12.5%. Huge difference that could have devastating results.

Thanks for your info. I’m just getting into quails so there is still lots I need to learn :).
I heard of checking before so I always did and the last time I went I didn’t bother checking because I had crabby kids with me and they screwed up my crumbles for pellets and my chickens would not eat it so yeah I learned my lesson to ALWAYS check
