LOL indeed! I love how my wife, who's a hardened "urbanite", came to the conclusion very quickly "it's funny how each girl has her own personality, didn't know that".

Chickens get a bad knock for not being smart. However they sure as heck aren't as dumb as people make them out to be. I love the personalities of chickens and I guarantee if more people spent time around chickens there would be a ton more chicken fanatics.

I have one chicken in particular I always thought of as dumb, definitely not the brightest bulb in the box, and even she surprised me. One day the girls had the incredibly exciting treat of leftover spaghetti which they chased each other around with and stole from each other. The aforementioned dumb chicken, Dela, took her spaghetti and ran into the coop with it and hid where she could gobble it up in peace, none of the others followed and continued to fight with each other over scraps and she got the prized spaghetti clump mostly to herself. I was impressed.

Absolutely! LOL... we have our "special one" too... Ms Ginger, RHR with round eyes and not a care in the world... you can pick her up anytime, never runs away. Kinda does her own thing too, always a lil' off the pack. I keep babies in the garage until they're fully feathered... door open during the day.

Ginger is the only one who figured it out and now runs right up to the driveway... no other girls "clicked" yet...
