Office Employees Asking for Money for Fundraisers - Opinions Wanted

Back when I was in school I personally HATED getting 'fund raiser' packets for X cause. I just wouldn't do it. I hated the idea of going to people to essentially get pity money. Thankfully my parents thought they were garbage, too. The only thing I knew my neighbors were interested in were girl scout cookies when it was 'that time of year'. Those basically sold themselves.

We had someone bring in their neice to walk around the office and ask for donations for some pagent that she was in.

that I would support if asked - my gripe is not that folks ask, but that people ask when its their kids that are supposed to do the work... I only buy if the kid is part of the process of making it happen. I'll buy girlscout cookies, but only from girlscouts, not their parents. now if the office should *let* kids go around and interupt your work, that's another question altogether.
