I admit I just want the hair for spinning. Upkeep would be impossible for me. Better stick to chickens.

When you do decide on a wool breed, stay away from german angoras - they have to be sheared. Most other wool breeds can be plucked.

Can I just come over and pet your French Angoras? Alot? (heh, heh, heh...)

Sometime I want quail. Are yours pretty or edible or both?

I think both. they're not one of the flashy blues, but they're lovely white, brown and reds, lay me eggs and make excellent gouda stuffed bacon wrapped quail.

This is from an earlier hatching

there are ZERO pointy saddle feathers on this GIRL.....those two BOYS you posted on the icelandics thread last night? That was the determining factor for me. Those darn pointy shiny feathers out back.

no saddle or hackle feathers and she has a hen's rounded booty tail, not a roo sickle tail.

I thought they were boys even though they aren't as roo-ish as the other boys. But I didn't want to put them in the sale bin and find out I could have had 2 more girls.
