New York Style Cheese Cake!
Crust: 1/4 unsalted butter melted
1 1/2 cup graham crackers finely crushed
Filling: 1 1/2 cup granulated sugar
4- 8oz packages of cream cheese
1/2 cup heavy cream
4 eggs
1 cup sour cream
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 cup all purpose flour
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Crust: In a large bowl combine butter and cracker crumbs. Press mixture into the bottom of a springform pan. Place in freezer to freeze.
Filling: In a large bowl beat sugar and cream cheese on medium high for 3 min. Blend in heavy cream. add eggs one at a time, mix well after each egg is added. Mix in sour cream, vanilla and flour. pour filling into crust. Place a cake pan with water on lower shelf of oven, place cheese cake on shelf above pan with water, bake for one hour in preheated oven. Turn off oven and let cheese cake cool inside the oven for 5 hours. DO NOT OPEN THE OVEN. Refrigerate for 4 hours. ENJOY! I add chocolate chips into the batter and have added caramel and nuts as a topping after the caheese cake has cooled.
