So I pick up DD#3 at preschool yesterday and she excitedly tells me she had graham crackers for snack. I say, honey you know if you get a gluten snack by accident you just put it back, right? Her teacher looks up all cranky and says DH told her Hannah can have wheat now. HUH? We've been having discussions about this sure, but we haven't come close to a compromise. Sure he's sick of the wheat free thing, but as I pointed out to him; we tried wheat in June, what part of vomiting-fever-diarrhea x 2 kids to you fail to remember? Gluten free and they didn't get sick for 16 MONTHS. His reply was "all kids get sick, whats the big deal"? And apparently my obsession with a healthier diet is unhealthy because it makes them think they are going to get sick if they eat wheat. I need to be a more positive attitude role model for my kids. Shoot, he's been reading "The Secret" again or some such genie-in-a-bottle book.
So apparently he took matters into his own hands and told the school wheat is okay again. And I'm a crazy helicopter mommy. He's Mr. Good Time.
Days like this God protects me from stumbling over a trunk full of money; 'cause the kids would miss him.
