My kids start school the 29th. FUN. Part of me hopes Minotauro and Minotoro are here by then, so they will start at 4, vs almost 5. But, all will be at the same school, may be interesting.

Squinty.

OT I Know, trying to get an opinion or two:

Been moving coop panels and had a little accident. There was a 4" gap between coop and pen and for some reason Misty decided to stuff her full grown Americauna body into that little spot. She'll be a year old this Fall.
I think the heat is getting to her, and I'm pretty sure she must have strained her leg getting out.
She's not walking well and cannot perch. She's laying in water, in a clay saucer.

it"s 104 degrees right now, was 110, will go down to 85 tonight (near morning).

Should I leave her there tonight? I have a cage I could put her in, 1/2" wire floor, but it wouldn't be as cool as the saucer until later.

Check out Blueballs, my BWA roo.

He's a wuss, and never gets love from the ladies. He's the roo UNDER the waterer, not the one looking at me.

If it were me, I would bring her in for the night, in the tub. The porcelain is cool and she can rest that way. I too live in the desert, though it has not be that hot here - 100 today.

Beautiful birds!!! I have a BWA roo too - Ironhide. He is a wuss too. I have one wheaten hen and a bunch of lav juvies..... Should throw some pretty colors when they are mature enough to mate.

I have REALLY good news. We recently made our website available through FB with a post of what kits we have for sale. There is a gal that wants a pair IN ALASKA! She is not afraid of the airfare either!!!! YAY Northern Winds Ranch!!!!!!
