Also, my yard has more weeds than grass. Mowed weeds look the same as mowed grass btw, teehee. They grow like the dickens. THE DICKENS, I TELL YA. My chickens can't keep up.

We planted grass seed when we filled in the CRATERS from the ducks...then thre old hay over it and tacked plastic hardware cloth over it. Worked well.

This rabbit just ran out into the middle of the parking lot and is just sitting there. Has been there about 10 minutes now.

So weird.

We have some grass, but it's pretty patchy. Between having children, dogs, fowl and whatever else stomping over the yard, we don't bother trying to keep it alive.

We already have a yard nazi in the neighborhood, though, and he knows I own the backyard for the critters. So DH mows the weeds and sighs. Loudly. And often.
