You'll be ok, remember about 15lbs of that will be fluid and afterbirth. Alot will be in fat reserves that get used up in breastfeeding as well. then you have the fluid loss from the post birth seepage... maybe 10 lbs to actually loose when all is daone.

I don't WANT to be logical about now......

Nope. You want to scream and rant and jump up and down, except you can't because you weigh too much and your joints hurt...

All right, you guys. My hens quit laying mid June and haven't started up again yet. And only one of them is molting. What gives? I want some good eggs again.

NOTHING worked to induce Jacob! I looked up labor-inducing foods and activities and in the week preceeding his birth I tried... walking, crying, jumping jacks and adult activities. I ate salad, eggplant parmesan, pineapple, spicy food and red raspberry leaf tea. Nothing worked. Stubborn child.

Xactly Orchypants. I mean, I know I've got normal weight gain all in all for twins. But seriously, I'm 24 lbs short of doubling my weight and that's NOT cool. Esp because my knees are crappy. I walked around on my left knee with no ACL or MCL for multiple years, so it's grouchy, very grouchy.

Hrm, your hens, did the heat get to them? Ours stop for heat, not for cold.

I ran uphill 1/4 mile twice a day for the last 4 days before I had #1 and he still had to be induced and took HOURS to get out.

That's the only thing I can think of, except, it's really not that hot here. We had a short stretch of days in the 90s with high humidity but mostly it's been in the low to mid eighties - not really that hot.

I'm confuzzled.

Hrm. Got me, I don't know that much. It was insanely hot for us once you factored in heat index and it was impossible to keep it cool enough so the chickens weren't panting and such.

Invoice out. That should pay for feed for the rest of the year. Longer, if I off those mean meat turkeys.

How on earth did you get mean meat turkeys? Ours are the slacker, lazy, sweet things who I hate to process because they are so stinking nice.
