LOL, Kathy stop being so accurate.

ALTHOUGH. I do have to admit. I bought 7 new chicks today. 1 cochin (either gold laced or partridge) and 6 EE. They were just too darn cute. No idea if they were even straight run or pullets. I am guessing cochin is straight run, but no idea on the EE. they were in a bin with a bunch of different chicks, including quite a few female black sexlinks. Here's hoping they're all girls! I've never had a hatchery EE, but always wanted one. Have had pure Ameraucana....but there is just something about those poofy cheeked strangely colored EEs!

I see their move to the barn has been incrediblypermanent.

Also, my hatefulness from yesterday was due to not getting into the merlot yet. I am two sips into a giant glass now. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM......

LOL! The stupid cat moved them all yesterday and stuffed them in behind the concrete steps on the back porch. Then we had a monsoon. So they are inside so they don't die at the hands of a teenage mom. I swear, It's like I'm living an episode of 16 and pregnant

The Precious is still got an upset stomach, she is limping severely on her right front. I thought she had restrained her shoulder, but her foot is slightly swollen and warm. I can't find a puncture or any cut or object. She lets me manipulate it with out complaining. I am at a loss.

Tonight she barely ate her rice and corn. Been feeding her bland so her diarrhea quits. Seems to be working until we tried to put her back on regular food 3 days ago. I don't know what to do with her. None of her issues are emergency vet worthy. And, she is almost 11.

She's laying on the bed being old and tired.

Toby my old geezer shepherd mix is 13 years old now. He has had chronic "sensitive stomach" for years. He gets his dry dog food and thats it. Maybe a milkbone here and there. NO rawhide or mushy stuff or he poops everywhere. Even stress gets him going. Sigh.

So he gets imodium when he has diarrhea. I usually give him 2 pills at a time. That really helps. I talked to a vet about it when he went for his March 5th checkup. He said that was the correct way to go with him.....give him immodium if it gets bad, and/or bland foods (boiled chicken and rice). The vet didn't seem too concerned......but considering Toby's age, the fact he is absolutely covered in tumors and has a very strange heart murmur...he is still in decent condition and very happy. So, just control the pooping as it comes, he says.

The Preciouis has always had issues. We have kept her on the same dog food for literally years because of it. Very rare a treat but not much because she throws up or gets real gassy.

The last episode she had was years ago and she was vomiting and crapping straight blood. I thought she was going to die. We've done the immodium and she's been on other things too.

This latest thing has had no blood. But she can't seem to tolerate the same dog food any more. I've been cooking her rice and throwing in some veg and egg. She's doing well keeping it down and the diarrhea is abated but tonight she wouldn't barely eat at all.

I'm going to get her some yogurt and baby aspirin. I haven't got a clue about the limping thing. I swear I thought it was her shoulder and she was just stiff. But the foot is not quite right. it's not real swollen, just enough though and warm...not hot, but warm.

I dunno what to do with her but to keep her comfortable.

don't know how to tell the difference between hen and roaster

They all end up as roasters eventually.
