That was exactly the look on my face when I arrived to pick them up and found out what they'd been doing all afternoon.

ETA: They are supposed to get a half hour of game time each. And she knew that.

Well, I like MY children....most of the time...

Seriously, there's a select few children I really like - the polite, kind, non-sticky ones - the rest I could do without.

Ditto. I tell people not to be offended, it isnt personal, I just don't like most other people's kids. Polite ones who act their age are fine.

My mother in law still laughs about the fact that I confided to her once that I had a hard time holding DH's niece because she was always sticky (I swear that kid has eaten more sugar than the Crystal Sugar factory in Moorhead produces) and whiny. She laughs because it was true... Now she's 11 and she's not sticky, but she's still a total brat.

Nella your tat is awesome! Very nicely done and well chosen.

Orchy I'll answer that question if you can explain to me how I can have one kid that is totally responsible and has great work ethic, while the other can be such a slacker, breaks all the rules and such. They both had the same rules growing uo, the same kind of love and were treated with the same expectations. I think I'm gonna kill this one before he makes it into the army!

I don't know, Bows. DH and his brother are as different as frogs and pineapples. My sister and I are a lot alike, our brother was left by aliens... (Not that I don't love the guy, we are just very very different!)

Same here. I'm ready to start smacking people for having allowed their children to be demon spawn monsters.

I love mine as babies. I miss them being babies. But I swear, I selectively remember the good points with each kid as an infant, not the crappy times when I was ready to go insane. I logically know they are hellions more often than not and I get very frustrated when they are being obnoxious toddlers.

I also greatly enough hearing how Matthew is doing great on his own (sniff, sniff

), and seeing how Charlotte is becoming an adult and seeing what new idea Grant can plot up to destroy the world and what trouble Annika can cause while being adorably cute and everything else they do. And they can't do any of that if they are infants.

I find that the older my kids get, the more I enjoy them. I've always loved them, but it's easier to actually enjoy them when you're not constantly wearing one of their bodily fluids.
