So, I just baked bread in my new oven for the first time...it's gas, remember? Well anyway, they came out the prettiest lookin things I ever did see. That settles it....ovens really do make a difference. This whole time I thought it was me....why didn't they come out looking pretty like others I've seen? Well, a crappy 20+ year oven will wreck a bread for sure...I mean, edible...just not pretty. I'm gonna cry...how am I gonna cut into it? I just can't!
peanut butter dough chilled for 2 hours...ready to bake....chocolate chip cookie dough...ready to bake....roast is done, smells scrum-dum-dum-ilee-icous....can't make lemon bars yet...need powdered sugar...swore I had some...couldn't find my vanilla either so had to go borrow neighbors "imitation" vanilla...sniff, I've been buying the "real" stuff...sniff sniff. oh well...I only needed 2 tsps.
