Dear Crankypants,
I am not tired of hearing you complain. I understand your frustration. I wish you would be the one to set up the rules. That way I bet I wouldn't be waiting...and waiting...and waiting....and in the mean time feeling hopeless. I'm supposed to be having my stuff together by now. I'm supposed to have less stress and be happy. I would like you to consider stabbing X's and the people responsible for the "system" in the eyes with shrimp forks instead of yourself. Life would be so much jollier that way.

Yours truly,
g

$214. It was $214. HOW DO PEOPLE LIVE ON THIS??

1/2 your weekly gross pay usually, but not over your state max. Erm, AZ has a disgustingly low max, like $240 or something.

You need some free virus protection and anti-malware, girl.

Avast Antivirus and Malwarebytes are your friends! Look 'em up if your computer will stay unfrozen long enough.

Know what's weird...I tried one a couple weeks ago... AVG or something and my "free" trial ran out a week ago or something...and I just deleted it out of my system when my computer froze up...and now everything is faster and I can delete stuff without it freezing. It then said, do you want to keep it as AVG FREE ???what? Then why have they been popping up all these windows for me to buy it? I looked up free virus... anyway, I'll try the ones you said orchy.

They don't. You get the other programs added in for single parents, but still, it sucks. If it's a double income home, zip, zilch, nada, you don't qualify. Doesn't matter if you need both incomes.

It's REALLY fun if you quit a job or are fired. Then you don't even GET UI in 47 of 50 states, nor in DC, PR or VI.

I don't know? Like maybe back in the 1960's they did. My mom has all these stories about what she spent a week in the grocery store...you can't get out of the produce aisle spending what she did...that's if you're trying to eat healthy and not vieing for the prepackaged tuna helper stuff that's high in sodium and will through you into coronary disease.

UI is actually based on a state's average weekly wage. So average every employee's wages for one week, then cut that in half or so. Usually.

Ugh. Checked into refinancing. 2 stupid houses in my neighborhood have been for sale forever and she doesnt think mine will appraise high enough. Whatever. Annoying. Stupid housing market in the dumps.

I could save $108 per month if I refinanced. But it means $450 application fee, and an appraisel cost......which would just go into the dumps if it doesnt appraise high enough. $900 adios? What the frig.

Sigh.

Okay, looked closer......basically $2100 to refinance if all goes well. If I save $100 a month, it takes 21 months just to break even.

To save $100 a month, I think I will pass.

Also, since my work is construction based they gave a timeframe on when housing is supposed to start turning around.......I think we're still a couple years out. I dont plan to move anytime soon, so I will just keep on keeping on........

We never found refinancing to be a benefit. Granted, we only really looked when the "adjustable rates" were big deals, and no way, no how! Ouch, those things hurt when the rates adjust.
