DUDE, Mick said that if I cover my tomatoes they will be OK. I am pulling the old sheets out of the cupboard in the camper tonight! I don't care if I ever see a cucumber again, and I'm anxious for the squash to die down so I can pick them. But the tomatoes I will protect till the end. I planted them close enough together that 2 queens should cover them perfectly.

If Mick was wrong, KVLY will be hearing from me.

I'm covering my tomatoes as well, but there's no hope for the pumpkin vines or the sunflowers. *sniff* Tomorrow night will be the real test at 28º.

Pick 'em green, they'll still ripen if you keep them in a shoe box or paper bag that's kept dark and coolish.

NEVER works for me.

I don't have great luck trying to ripen tomatoes off the vine, either. My mom does, but she has a lot of south facing windows and it seems to work for her to put them there.

I got a few little pumpkins this year. I never have great luck growing pumpkins, and then I see they have huge locally grown ones at the grocery store for $3.00 each. It hardly seems worth my time to try to grow my own after seeing that.

McFly, I would have thought by this time you would know what he's done. Do we need to have a little talk?

Good picture.

My kids are so weird. They LOVE to go to the dentist. The Littler One BEGS to have his teeth cleaned; he was mad at me for a whole day the last time I went because he couldn't go too.

Lars love it, we have to haul Danno's carcass all the way to Fargo to a pediatric dentist because he wont let the regualr old rural dentist NEAR him with a syringe. Orchy, go to the henway and read "the Eel and I" post from way back. Its all about the dentist.
