Morning all! It rained all night after a dust storm that lasted 3+ hours.

Did I mention monsoon season ended three days ago?

Meanwhile, it is 75 degrees and 88% humidity today.

DS#1 has a Fox backpack that has lasted three school years and counting. It was around $50. DS#2 actually has a camping backpack from Target, so far it seems to be nigh to indestructible. It was $40.

I've sent in 3, so far and have had them all replaced. DH and I both beat up our college bookbags by the time we graduated - zippers quit zipping and both had huge holes at the bottom, so sent them both in back in 1999 and got new ones. One of them I've been using as a diaper bag off and on for the last 11 years. Picked up another bookbag at a yardsale for $1 and it disintegrated in the wash, so got that one replaced, too. Matthew started using that one for school last year.

The kids have been using them for the last few years. This year they asked why they don't get new bookbags every year like their friends. I told them I bought their bookbags to last, so I didn't have to buy them every year. I also bought tiny LL Bean bookbags for when they were in Kindergarten and 1st grade.

Now if only I could find a lunch bag that was equally durable.
