Today's going to be busy, busy, busy. DH is coming home late tonight and tomorrow we're having Ella's birthday party, so I have to get the house back in shape. Yesterday I didn't get much housework done between the sleep deprivation and running around after the kids in the evening.

Jackie's girl scout troop was putting on a Halloween party for a boy scout troop as a service project. Jackie was supposed to be a werewolf in the haunted house, but the creepy music and spooky lights scared her so much that she started crying, which embarrassed her because she's in 5th grade and the boy scouts were in 1st and 2nd grade and they didn't cry. She's a sensative soul and has a spectacular imagination - great for creative stuff, but bad when it comes to scary stuff - apparently the spooky music made her envision all sorts of horrific things and got her all upset. I'm the same way - I can't watch horror movies because those images stay with me forever. I also stay away from all batman movies, mob-based movies and anything by Quinten Tarentino.

Apparently the underwear gnomes have mutated into a separate line of debit card gnomes? That's all I can figure.

dacs, I hope the move goes well for you! Are you selling your other house? I really like that house. Will you miss it?

Belle, my house needs to be whipped into shape too, wanna come over?

It's the sock gnomes here. I'll see if they have any missing debit cards. Not that they'll tell me, since they are busy "borrowing" socks.

Perhaps they are stuffing the socks with debit cards.

When I find the missing socks, I'll let you know.

DH and DS#1 are home today. DH is there on puke patrol. How lucky am I to not be there!?!

Fox's been eating my chooks again. We thought they had all moved on, no activity for a long time, then in the past week it flared up again.

DH was out doodling around at his stand and ran past me suddenly only to come back by w/his rifle.

Apparently the fox was right behind the barn, lurking.

DH's gun is too big for fox, but the wicked beastie felt nothing.

Only has 3 legs, so we're assuming this is the one I winged in the early summer, left blood and fur all over the tree behind him that time.

DANG that is a thick pelt, makes me nervous about the coming winter to see the skunks and coons so fat and the feel how thick that fox's pelt is.

Oh, gotta share. My Ole is a good, good dog. We were out for our walk last night when a porcupine walked out about 30 feet in front of us. Ole wanted to go see it sooooo badly but I called him and he came. Of course it was the ONE time I didn't carry his leash along just in case...but I turned around and walked the other way and he came with me like a good boy, although he did stop and look back a few times until it had waddled away!
