OK I kind of scanned all the pages you rascal's posted over the weekend.

Kind of.

Weekend recap:
Friday I don't remeber what we did. Oh yes, DH went home with work buddy to sheet the inside of his garage. I picked up boys, made them clean up all the messes they've been leavinga round for a week, because they knew that they were each going to a grandma's house after they cleaned. Delivered beans to gma's houses and was informed that on Saturday they would just meet up and swap boys till Sunday so I never had to hunt with a kid on Saturday!

Sat : got up at 5:45, got on all 4 layers for warmth till it was light enought to turn on the heater in my stand. Packed snacks, brought ammo and gun. Got to stand at 6:40, and at 6:45 a spike buck caught my trail and trailed me all the way to my stand (which sits on the ground not in the air) at which point he pawed at my door for about 5 minutes. He circled me forever, so closed that I couldn't see him over the wall. But it was too dark to shoot, and really why would I end my season 15 minutes into it? So I let him go. Let 2 does go, then saw a big buck that I would have taken EASY if I had seen him 5 seconds earlier. best part was some jerks were chasing him on OUR property, so I would have loved to see their faces when a GIRL dropped a big buck right in front of them. Oh well theres still 6 days.

Sunday was church and more hunting, but the wind was wet and cold, it felt like the beach in Washington. BRRR. We didn't stay out long. I had some Pan Am and Terra Nova to catch up on anyway.

DH's uncle got a nice buck, ten points. Reminds me of a mule deer tho, just not a very "white tail" rack on him.

If we get to the end of the season and I haven't filled out yet I will go sit in DH's stand and get one of our does. We save them for last tho to get the bucks to come in.

Nice buck the uncle got, sparkles! Does he hunt up by you guys? DH and DS#1 went out on Saturday morning, didn't see a thing, but DH's stand is really only good in the evening anyway. They are going out again tonight.
