The eggs were from my flock, under Patchwork, given to Tucson Tofu.

The AZ people know they can have free hatching eggs, so long as they let us buy/trade out any hens that would be PERFECT for the Aloha project. I usually offer 2 or 4 hens/pullets for 1 good Aloha hen.

Anywhoo, TT PM'd me, and I drove to BFE to pick up these two hens. But since they were both Patch's daughters, I didn't want to put them under him: the chicks would be barred, barred, and barred.

So Sommer met me before I even got home, and took them.

When she is done with them, or I get a good roo, I get them back. She gives me all her good culls anyway.

Well the goal is to make them heat hardy, but right now they'd do fine. Lots of EE stock in there, as well as other floofy butted birdies.

OH MY GOD! I go to look up some info for an hour or two and you guys have run up three pages of chattering!!!! I am impressed!

DH just called to inform me that when I had previously sold off my flock that I also sold my quarantine pen

Now I have to rush around trying to find building materials at home to make a quarantine pen and run. It has to be completed tonight because I pick up my girls (4 pullets) tomorrow afternoon, and then there is noooooo more money until friday (payday

) Yuck this sucks.


Now to go back a read all the wonderful jabber before I head home to manual labor.

So. Someone stole my debit card number and charged $282 worth of crap on it. I think I caught it in time though. It's only authorized by the merchant and hasn't been processed by my bank yet, and I cancelled the card and slapped a fraud alert on my account.
