It's just unacceptable to let an animal who cannot fend for itself, starve to death. These horses are SURROUNDED by knee high grass. All they would need to do is move them into a different field.
I think i am going to text the lady "I moved Foxy today to board at another farm. The horses look very thin....if you want to find new homes for them, let me know, I know a few people who would love them, especially the pinto gelding".
I think the gray mare and red gelding will bounce back with Foxy gone and better grass growing for spring. More growth of the grass and less horses eating it. Foxy is a grazing machine. The gelding is in bad shape. I called him a butthead only because he didn't get along with my mare very well. He was a bit bossy. However that red gelding RAN HIM OFF today when I had thrown in some hay and pulled grass. He isn't bad, just hungry and not a wimp.
And he would appear to be broke....considering that picture of him being ridden. I am going to stalk her facebook in a minute to see if there are any other pix.
