Oh boy, maple is gonna be alllll over this place today.

I spent all day yesterday sleeping on the couch. I was really completely worthless. It was great.

Lori, I think I will go to the chicken show but not enter anything. I don't have the time to get mr mottled cleaned up and the hen I was considering entering went broody AGAIN. After a 2 week break from her last broody stint. Sigh. So much for that idea.

Did you talk to LH about transporting Cynthia on the 20th? I think she'd have an easier time getting to my house, but you might have more space for hauling feed.

I'll be taking chickens that I plan to show in Shelbyville, birds that I plan to sell for the weekend, and extra cages for the show birds to hang out in when we aren't at the show. Plus DD and DH with assorted luggage. But we'd have a seat free for Cynthia and can make room for her cat carriers and luggage.

I am bad about checking voicemail on my phone.....just heard that message this weekend....

I can't get a petsitter for that weekend. Sigh. My petsitter sent out a list of unavailable dates and that weekend was one of them. So whether I can go or not is up in the air.

Speaking of burritos, my cousin is sending me some REAL tortillas for my birthday

I made a really excellent Tangier beef and sweet potato stew this weekend, but I should have followed my instincts and added more than the called-for 1/2 cup of broth.

It ran out of liquid right at the end of the cooking time and I rescued it JUST in time.
