I didn't get blown away by last nights storm. But granny and my 2 lil terrified girls almost did. But all is well today and got power a lil over an hour ago...posts down up and down my road--road closed--silos mangled--trees split in two and everyone's houses are green from tree debris....crazy.

Either did I...when the hail started I just decided to mow the grass UNDER the trees.

Granny decided to meet me at the local diner for dinner with my girls but apparently she wasn't paying attention either but the SIRENS were a dead give away.

Granny ran off the road with my girls...I was on the phone with her...I heard commotion and screaming and crying and thought they flipped the car or a tornado had wrecked them. I was beside myself. I just heard so much noise and screaming and crying from my babies...it was terrifying! Grandma got back on the road thankfully and made it to my old house where I was...and power was out and we hid in the darkened basement.

When it was passed we drove around to see some damage before all sunlight had faded. I used my cell phone to find candles but never managed to find the matches amongst all these boxes at new house. But my daughters remembered the turtle that glows stars on the wall...so we used that to eat our pizza and then slept cuddled up on the couch. My girls were TERRIFIED!!! shaking, screaming, crying... it was the worst.

Mom said she had never seen anything like it. She said the rain was sideways across the road and she lost site of the road. it was the worst she said she's ever drivin in.

It literally looks like someone mulched green grass across the roads and on everyones houses and cars and covered them with green grass and leaves...shredded green grass and leaves...lil bitty peices....like a huge mower blew over everyones homes.

I've seen storms knock down trees and blow roofs off and semi trailers over....but I've NEVER seen it mulch grass and trees before in tiny shreds.

and my girls before they left this house where I live now...said, they were scared, they didn't want to go, they wanted to stay home and hide in the basement, they were not hungry anymore cuz they were scared...and grandma said the sky was eerily spooky.... well....HELLO!!!!! Then go to the basement with my children woman!!!!

So. I am one big huge rash - allergic reaction. To what? I have no idea. Couldn't narrow it down, so now I am taking 40 mg of prednisone a day and 200 mg of Hydroxyz. I guess that is some kind of super duper benedryl.

Ugh.
