Do you suppose when my kids are married someday I will FINALLY stop checking to see if they're still breathing when they sleep in late?

In other news, I have a limping chicken, and I can't figure out why. She seems to have scraped the inside of her leg but it's almost completely healed. Can't see anything stuck in her foot and no swelling, but she's been limping for five days now.

Did you put your fingers up her vent?

I always seem to do that even when not necassary. All this talk on byc about egg bound and I immediately go there. I don't think the hen appreciates my worry and concern.
