Things get wierd when boyd and i finish each others thoughts. We passionatly disagree on 1000 topics, it's like talking to a mirror, same way of thinking, totally different conclusions. i think both mrs boyd and mr saddi are just relieved for the breaks (I think I heard the merits of different tractors for 2 weeks when he was shopping for one, I still don't know the differance, but I'm sure kelly would've rather slept than debate on 3 pin attachments). Since I'm done with breeding myself, mrs boyd can send down the kids for an afternoon break, and i'll keep them busy, auntie saddi is fun but firm.

mi is cheap. A large part of the choice was money. For what I spent on 2 years of lease payments here I can buy a house on 7 acres there.

MI is COLD. That makes it the same as here, so I do not get the merits. Plus, we're in NE, it's cheap here. I like NM.

In the desert, the price of water and AC kills. If you go NM, get an evap cooler (called swamp coolers sometimes) they're way cheaper to run and you'll want the humidity as well. Winter isn't much of a deterrant as we thought, truth is I just don't leave the house much, the wheelchair is a freeking hassle, and both of us work from home, the kids are homeschooled, and I already only use the market maybe 2 times a month (you should see the way I shop, 6 weeks of food at once, so I don't need to do it again? check.) I'll miss the longer growing season, but I can't get my wheelchair into the garden as is, so a shorter season, but having the room to plant will be lovely (boyd and mr saddi talked about some raised box gardens so I can plant again.

I'm pretty estranged from my family, and the only tie I still have in Ca, is my son's sweetheart. She wants to move with us (and I think her parents would let her), but they're too young.

Good morning everyone! Looks like all the night owls have signed off and gone to bed. It's another dry day for us. Would love to have a solid week of rain and an arctic blast of cold air.

Saddina was talking of moving to Mich cuz of cheap real estate but I had to point out the 120 degree difference in temps between a socal winter and a michigan winter..

Good morning everyone.

I think I might just be too old to survive those cold, cold winters.
I think the fog here is cold, well, I guess you could dress for it.

I did not know that artichokes could grow in the desert. I thought they only grew in the fog.
We are artichoke capitol of the world, well, at least that is what the sign says.
