If I have a tummy ache is it reasonable that my 5 yr old and 9 year old make themselves something to eat? And since I have a realitor and carpet people coming soon...can I get the kids to finish the house work?

....yeah, I thought not. drats. Fine, I'm cooking rice....all this old dog talk has got me thinking....

I was gonna say it is reasonable for them to make themselves something to eat.

All I got left to do is the dishes and write up the list for the house sitter. I should unclogged the vacuum, but it can wait til I get home again. Floors are swept. Chicks are happy. Everything fed. The Precious is not limping as badly. Maybe things will be alright after all!

Evenin boo... for the most part there are times they can fix themselves something to eat when those things that are easy for them are readily available...but they are not. I have no lunch meat for them to make sandwiches. Out of yogurt and cottage cheese... There are no left overs to reheat.

I actually made somewhat of a meal even though it was thrown together mix match of things...I steamed corn kernals, made ready made mashed potatoes---

they were donated to me so yeah, I used them, and quick brown rice. The girls had seconds on the taters. And we swished it down with sprite...that's right...the brand name soda. so there.

Well, both girls are running a low grade fever....gosh darn it.

Carpet cleaners will be here at 8 or 8:30. I already know I'll want to take a nap when they leave....but then my sisters friend is coming at 10:30....ok, a nap when SHE leaves.

I made the girls help me and just put them to bed....we were clearing out my room and Zoe's room the rest of the way...no more stuff on the floors....and then I vaccumed. I'm ready to admit full heartedly, I am a hoarder. It's bad. Ok, so you don't need shovels and it's not obvious trash like pizza boxes and such but it's bad. I can not throw things out that I think may have some use or value or some things for sentimental reasons...and moving into my childhood home where my parents "collected"-- fine, they hoarded, for 30 odd years, did NOT help my case one bit. I can't believe the whole upstairs is empty now....minus a few cubbies...good GOD!!!! I forgot about the cubbies!!!! darn it all!!!!

I'm right there with you g..........my mom flies in Friday. Must. Clean. House. My house is a mess. Really needs the carpet in the living room cleaned too. Plus I need to do all the bedding laundry in the extra bedroom. Ugh. Got a bunch of crap organized last night, but still have some organizing to do. Maybe tomorrow night (er tonight, Tuesday night) I will at least get all the crap into one big pile.....trash day is wednesday so I can get all the kitchen stuff cleaned up. Wednesday I can clean carpets a bit. Thursday do laundry. Friday morning get all the chicken feeders and waterers filled. and then pick up mom at airport, bring home and show animal stuff, adn then leave for Ohio for the weekend. Always feel a bit crazy at the last minute. At least I will come home to a clean kitchen! LOL. She always cleans my kitchen when she is here. She is a clean freak. I am not GROSS, but not crazy super duper clean. I have 4 house dogs and 3 house cats. Whaddya expect?

LORI, are you bringing me chickens this week?

Yikes, my mil is coming, not sure exactly when yet, but yea, I better clean.
And, well, uh, we still have not replaced the flooring since the flooding washing machine days.
Its just ply board, black, kinda.
And the walls are just sheetrock, with glue stuff all over them.

Well, at least the hole in the living room wall has been fixed now, not just cardboard over it anymore, from where a pipe was leaking and dh had to cut a hole in the wall to get to it.

And only part of the wall is painted in spare room, and none of the trim is up.
And my carpet in my room is filthy, the kind that it just needs to be replaced now, or taken out, since it is the only room that has any carpet in it anymore.

Oh, all my floors need to be redone, they all are a mess.

I'd rather worry about a visit from my mil than a realitor on thurs. sigh...soo much to do.... I know she said she just wants to take measurements and get comparables but she has no idea...

Metal bolt in childs food what the heck !

That's where I keep mine...

Mornin' ya'll.

No broken bones. Just lots of bonmes that got pushed together to the point of either breaking or dislocating. I tried telling my arm that since no bones were broken it shouldn't hurt anymore. It diodn't buy it, and as a result I was in bed and asleep by 9:30 last night, exhausted from trying to make my right hand do some normal stuff.

The d'Uccle websirte still shws the Shelbyville show as the 14th, and a double show,
I'm going to have to get more info. If its a d'Uccle show than I really need to go because I want the points. But maybe only 1 show is the d'Uccle part and I can split early. we'll see....

The 20th is a dear friends retirement function from 3-5. So I can't even leave early that afternoon. DH will not be amused.

BTW< Ladyhaawk, Lucky is missing most of his tail featehrs. A fox wanted to have Lcuky over for dinner but Lucky backed out at the last minute. Its the 3rd timeme an the fox madem eye conact. I don't want to kill mr fox. Gonna have toi find a new way of doing things so that the fox gives upo and goes away.
