I was greatly disappointed when my mom ordered one in Chicago after I had gotten back from my trip and I tasted it and was like, what the heck is THAT? It's good but that's not an emanada.... that's just some kind of dough with filling.

Nella, I'm sorry about your bunny.

If you were closer, I'd give you one. My doe, Chloe, has a litter of 5 little ones right now and I think my other doe, Caramel, is about to have a litter. Ella was helping me feed this evening and she pointed to Caramel and said (giggling), "Mommy, come look! She looks like she has a mustache!" Caramel had a huge mouthful of fur, so she's building a nest. I gave her some grass, leaves and hay and she promptly gathered it all one mouthful at a time and tucked it in her nest. I hope the babies will be okay - it's supposed to be pretty cold tonight.

I've got 2 broodies, too.

I saw feathers poking out of the bottom of the roll-out nests and I was thinking that chicken is either broody or dead. I opened the top to check and she about took off my hand. Glad to see she was just broody. Somehow she's managed to get an egg under herself in a roll-out nest box, but at some point the egg is going to roll out, so I need to move her. Does anyone have some dragon-hide gloves I can borrow before I reach in there?

My other broody is a teeny tiny Serama hen nesting in an empty water bowl. She's so cute.

I have 3 broodies sharing a batch of 14 babies right now. Plus 1 broody bantam cochin on eggs. And 1 broody lf cochin on eggs.

I expect more once these are done. I have some POL cochin mix girls too. I bet they'll start going broody in the next few months.
