I am, or rather did, it's all cleaned up now. I added the FO's to the oil then the lye mixture. Traced quickly but fine. Smells divine, I could eat this stuff. Today's batch is Tropical Vacation with Patchouli, English Rose and a hint of Cucumber Melon. Smelled good in the mold, will see how it sets up tomorrow when I pop it out.

If it's bramble berry's TV, it's a double of true blue the bbw had a bit back. I hit it with some pineapple and coconut and made a tourist sipping cocktails combo.

It is, yours sounds nice too. I posted a picture on the soapers thread.

ew patchouli

And darn it daccers! I am usin soap but I'll admit...there's been a slurry of times I'm taking both girls to the bathroom lately...ya know, Ava with her uti--cuz I'm sure it's not clear the amount of times we got up through the night and with Zoe and her daily laxatives...and now they are hacking so bad I've started thier nebulizer treatments again. This is one tired mama. My body aches so bad I can't stand, I can't sit, I can't lay...it just all hurts no matter what.

ew...do you hear Zoe in there hacking? ....I do. Come on you darn cooties...go away already. Zoe starts horse camp next week and Ava pony camp the week after then...sniff sniff....I'm taking them to VA. That's right....I'll be in VA. the 25th.

Mornin Saddina, I'm up and rarin to go. This morning I'm making a soap scented with Christmas Spice. think I'm going to add just a touch of Patchouli as well. Found out this morning why using bakers gel coloring in soap isn't a great idea. I guess I'll make every mistake you can to see why things work or don't. The upside is that the colors I didn't wait to come in before I soaped arrived via UPS just as I finished yesterdays batch. So, I'm going to try out the Green Chromium with the Christmas Spice.

you can always run it by me if you have a question dear. today is 2 more batches of lavender peacock (i'm so tired of the scent, but it's outselling the others by a large margin). I'm planning on tinkering with a chocolate fudge scent and using cocoa powder for the chocolate color. for dye, use BB's high ph colors. esp since the reaction can do some odd things to food colors (blue to grey>purple> fushsa). Side note on BB;s concentrates, hit it with your stick blender when mixing, or some of the colors can settle and leave dye dots in the bars).

Good tip. Yep, I had dye dots. I'm going to migrate to the tried and true colors and experiment with herbs and such. I'm making this soap for my mom, it has Rose Hip Oil, Wheat Germ, and Castor Oil along with the coconut and olive oil. Should be good for mature skin, plus she lives in Alaska which in itself is hard on your skin.

one thing to note, while it sounds good to swirl green and red for christmas soaps... you can end up with a grey when the 2 meet. Saw one last year, and all i could thing was "elf barf".

So glad it's the weekend.... I had a super busy week at work this last week. Just resting, cleaning the house a bit and messing around in the garden today... then later this afternoon I have a date with a good book that I'm just about to finish.

I hope that everyone is having a wonderful weekend! Hugs
