Y'all ready for a little giggle?

The husband is now making all kinds of small talk about emus! Yep a friend of his "assures" him they aren't that noisy and he should consider getting juveniles. Teehee!

Seriously, I really don't think we have enough room in our back yard for an emu, even if we fence all the way down the property line into the bayou. But, when dh decides to do something he makes it happen, with or without me. Note the chickens. Don't get me wrong, I like them fine NOW, but really did not want to take on the care and feeding of more animals when the subject came up. I didn't get into them until we had babies running around.

Will see where this goes.

Is that my stinky pete?

Stinky Pete...Peter Pan...Petey...Petery Pan Head...same thing...

You should have seen the look on his face when he approached the juvy hawk and it screeched at him...he started walking toward cage...tail errect and curious...BEFORE THE screech....then it looked at him, lifted it's wings and screeched and he veered left and kept walking...away.

Fuzzy was up in the garage loft looking down with her eyes twice thier normal size and a look of horror.

We covered the bird with a blanket to calm him some but left some gaps for air flowage....later Petey is hanging upside down on the cat tree all chillin with his new friend, Hunter the Hawk.

uh...call ducks...what crazy stuff were you trying to post up there?

And by the way...Hunter has 3 or 4 other juvy hawk buddies he will hang with that have yet to learn to fly.

Hunter kept going to the road...a busy country road with very fast cars and placing himself on a turn where there is tall grass so it was just a matter of time until he could have been hit....so I am thankful I stopped for him and brought him to Hoo Haven tonight. She said his crop was full and he ate real good with me....that's right....he's a good boy and ate his dinner and breakfast with me....good birdy. She gave me and the girls a cool plaque of a hand carved wooden eagle head....I'll have to get pics tomorrow....

Oh and our pinky squirrels survived and have been set free.

We got to go see the stinky arctic fox and the red fox again. She showed us the big snappin turtle they are releasing tomorrow. I got some pics...I'll upload and show tomorrow....later in the day though or sunday...or monday...ha ha ha...what? I'm a busy girl. I just got home and I'm exhausted!

Zoe liked Thunder the best I think. Today she rode Buddy and he was knew and I heard he was a pain in the butt...heard the camp owner say it even...bummer that Zoe had to end her camp experiance on a pain in the butt. But at least she didn't get Monty...the black with brown undertones horse that bites and kicks and NEEEEIGHS! He's so onery. Just like the cat, Sugar...who came and pet her pretty lil white self with carmel spots on my leg all fancy with her kitty cat self and then I leaned down to pet her and she turns around and bites me. I walk into the tac room and the camp owner says to everyone, "Don't pet Sugar...the white cat with tan spots...she bites." ugh, too late. Naugty naughty kitty!
