No, but the BIL (who runs the fire bases) just lost his Grand Turino...we have TONS of family/friends who have lost everything in Hereford and Sierra Vista.
On the other end of the state, my sister and her family live in Springerville/Merinci/Egar (The Round Valley area) who have been evacuated 2 or 3 times now.
Trying to catch up. Sorry I have been busy.
Holy buckets Laree!! Very sorry to hear that
What help do YOU need?
I could go for a nap....
Really though, there is nothing I can do to help folks, we are 4 hours away from the southern fire, and 6 hours away from the big one upstate. We're not close enough to take in folks, though i wouldnt mind seeing in my nephew and niece for a few ...months.
I am just stinking tired. I can't tell if I have a tummy sickness or if I am just eating too much summer fruit and veggies. I can get a little hypoglycemic or whatever it is called, but big sugar rushes have that super-fatigue swing down too. Maybe I am just hot.
Told Rachel this already: But I had an interview on Friday. It went really well, but at the end I stood up, my foot was asleep, I was in heels, and BAM! Laree makes an arse of herself. It was fabulously funny.
Needless to say, I didnt get the job, but I am SURE they remember me....
Other than that....I dug out another small garden today, mostly for beans. Bush beans. All beans, all the time. I also helped the DH clean all the junk out of the yard that needs to be garage-saled. The FIL is is having a yard sale this weekend, while we are camping! WOOT! All the cash, and none of the sitting in the heat. Plus my yard is cleaner.
Had a turkey baby break off her beak. Top and bottome. So, I super-glued it back on. She spent the weekend in the house, and is back out with her peeps. She's fine, and the beak is healing/growing out. (she broke it waaaay back, under the skin/cuticle. Pictures when I get a chance)
Anywhoo, that is the update. Chatterbox is demanding attention, so no more computer time.
Happy Wednesday, all!
