I spent 3 hours out in the heat doing yardwork. I almost flipped the mower on the big hill...i credit years and years of riding ATVs with that save. Phew.

I am totally exhausted now.....baby bunny is still alive! I am afraid to touch it lest I anger the beast.

The beast is the momma who ate part of her other babies this morning. I am going to tell myself they were stillborn and that is what happened. Yes, that is it.

If the mama ate the others and not the one, there probably really was something wrong with them.

I am making cabbage soup. It has potatoes, cabbage, onion, carrots, fire roasted stewed tomatoes and sausage.
Its going to be yummy!

Had rabbit stew. Was tasty. I am dog tired, so not good at keeping up.

It's not her first litter? If not, you should be fine to handle the kit, we handle them within 24 hours, make sure everyone looks good. First time does sometimes will kill kits if handled, but otherwise, an experienced doe does that, she's petted out.

I forgot, is this her first litter? I think I would wait on handling it for a few days, just to be safe.
If not her first litter, when was her last litter?
My bunny that ate her babies, had been a good mommy before. So, it was a shock she did that. But may have bred her too soon maybe, but also, she ended up getting this ugly gross growth on her eye, so she went for snake food. It was sad, but I didn't want her to suffer, but she was sweet.
