today was a rare kind of day.

I had to work 7am-3pm.. Insane right??

I usually waken at 9am and start working at 3pm...

Today's schedule was lean manufacturing training and exercises...

Met a guy today who's sorta outside the chain of command in our building.. (the guy teaching the class)
Knows all about the job I was just promoted to...
We talked about my expectations and the fact I have to work on cutting downtime..
Ran some of my ideas past him on how to implement them..

He offered to teach me anything and everything pertaining to my job. Next week while we are shut down he's going to sit down with me on one on one. Said that I had a tough road ahead as that's the most fubar'd area, yet the most vital in the plant. One of the hardest to learn and was glad none of that seemed to faze me, so he'd rather invest the time, training and of course send me to the manufacturer for more training.

For once today was a rare kind of day...

I can't wait for monday

Since I am crazy fat, I can't manage chores now. So I painted my nails. They are sparkly. Good going Laree! Boyd, have fun with the snafu world, TEE HEE.

My wife looks at me like I am green with antennae coming out of my head..

Ouch Deb, your kids burn sounds nasty! The older almost adult kids don't put sunscreen on unless I am standing over them. Then I check the burns, make sure they are hydrated and say I told you so.
