BOWS- Are you around? I wanted to let you know you have grandchickies. Well, one right now. I thought I heard peeping when I turned off the turner, but decided it was the chicks outside the window instead. Then I noticed a pip, and when I looked again, he pushed and popped off the whole top of the egg. No unzipping for your babies!

As of 5 minutes ago, there are two more pips, and no activity on the remaining two eggs. Yet I remain patient. I WILL get 5 babies, dagnabbit!!!

Yesterday's meeting was like this:

Arrive, eat some breakfast. A guy comes in with a slideshow on How to Prevent Back Injuries.
Get divided into 6 groups of 4, get handed recipes, go to kitchen, make our recipes, eat lunch, yummy!
Make a poster, get our supplies, go home.

Well, I didn't go home cuz I went to babysit gds.

Today will be delivery day, all that food,
I be working hard today, putting what we learned in the slideshow to the test!

Um, well, it looks like only 2 of 12 developed.... and one egg started seeping at day 20 so I tossed it. One was really rocking and rolling about 6 days ago, and he still moves but not as much, but no pip yet. And the other one hasnt rocked or rolled in quiet a while but still looks ok when I candle. I'm disappointed, only one had a detached air cell, but it looks like most did not even begin to try to develop

BUT being the way I am, I will leave the all in there till after the hatch just because I have a hard time with "what ifs". So they went into lockdown Monday night, they are due today, but there are no pips yet.... I suppose the suprise guinea clutch makes up for it a bit?
