Woo Hooo! Your kitchen is big, which I like, but the wasted space isn't doing you any good. And with two boys, you are going to need WAAAAY more storage space for the truckloads of groceries those boys iwll be eating.

And when it's all done I'll have to come back and see the improvements ^-^

More incentive to get the house done - Michelle will come back!

I plan to add cabinets to the 2 walls without cabinets (including 2 pantry-type cabinets for the truckloads of groceries) and refacing the current cabinets to match the new ones. New countertops, island, updated lighting, new sink, new floor, new backsplash....the usual kitchen makeover. Eventually I'll get new silver appliances, but I'm too frugal to toss out perfectly good ones just because they're white.

Love and prayers for Algae and the minni's.

Oh Belle, if we were not on opposite sides of the US, my son could build you an awesome kitchen!

Here I am playing on BYC again, when I should be getting dressed and out the door.

See ya laters

Wow! No breeders in AK? I never heard of Maremmas. I liked the sound of Anatolian Shepherds for a LGD. Or a mini donkey.

Nope, none that I can find. I could get Pyrs locally but I'm not a fan.

maremmas look like Pyrs but they are more apt to stay home and not wander, and they are more level headed. I've also had people say they have trouble with pyrs and poultry, but I'm sure that is dependant on the specific dog.

Beautiful!

That coat will work out nice for your Alaskan weather. I'm afraid to get a dog that fuzzy because our summers are so hot.

I'm a long way from getting a LGD. I found a useless little lap dog that I wanted in a local shelter and Bill threw a fit. When I found out I was unexpectedly pregnant with Jacob, he was happy. When we decided to take a foster placement - didn't bat an eyelash. When I told him I wanted to spend a lot of money renovating the house, no arguments. An adult, housebroken dog who weighs all of 4 pounds - tantrum. I don't understand men.

SO excited for Algea and family!

Michelle, funny, the pics of the puppies that you posted are from the breeder by me

I'm browsing their site now. DH has complained about 89 times recently that while he loves Emma, her 8lb weinerness is not enough to keep fox and coyote away.

LarBear, yes, driving home from AZ to MN with turkeys will be SO fun I will get started now.....

Algae and the boys are in our thoughts and prayers. She's in good hands with the doctors and your dad right there.
