Ohhh nice! I don't have enough cuckes ripening simultaneously to do a large batch so I just did 8 qt this time.

BIL has a 12x8 dill patch that i take from due to DH having magical dill-killing talents and my dill going from superfluous to zilch.

I always get my eyeballs at big lots....not sure if wally world will have them.

I am SO TIRED. And also sick of clutter and crap. Time to do some purging.

I need a nap.

Look what I grew!!! I know its silly but my garden did poop this year. This was hidden back behind the chicken coop.

Jbows, I should have lots of bunnies......BP's six oil cans are all thriving. Fancy's 3 fritters are all still alive. 2 thriving, 1 struggling.

Smores is due next week. That's it! Nobody else is currently bred.

Dear Spandex,

Monday isn't the day to call in sick, especially when 1) I'm your backup, 2) you apparently left 457 loose ends lying about, and 3) no one else is in a good enough mood to shrug off your absence and shoulder the load with me.

Insincerely,

Late-blooming Angry Leprechaun.

It's true, he does.

Our whirlwind romance is just about a year old, almost, and he only had fleeting encounters with chickens (that still had feathers) before meeting me (his sister had a few when she got out of college so he saw them in her yard) but once he watched a hatch and held a fuzzball, it was pure L-O-V-E. Now he has his own pet chicken. I can pick her up, if he's not around. If he's there, she acts like I'm a 3-headed monster and he's her knight in shining armor
