As of last night, I am finally ready for the kids to go back to school. We need a routine again. Summer is like a free-for-all with supper anywhere between 5:30 and 9, kids up until anywhere from 9-11...it's fun for a while, then it just gets annoying.

Fall is in the air up here too and that always makes me crave structure. And carbohydrates.

We will be thinking good thoughts for you. After Katrina power lines were down, cell towers were down, we couldn't get gas or diesel to keep the generators running. Course you probably are not dealing with oppressive heat if the power goes down.

Buffy, are you catching up with your house inspections? Didn't you have like 9,427 of them to do by September?

Actually, I am chugging along okay with them. Did I mention that just when I got to the point when I only had 163 more left to do, the other local inspector quit and I got his 90 assignments. I'm not as panicked about the job as I was in May and June. I can do more now that I quit the afternoon job (Tues & Thurs), so I'll be okay.

I can always recruit Laree to do inspections with me...
