I was sick on Friday with the flu.... most of the thread has been sick!

Are you feeling better? I'm on the mend. I'm still a little sore, but the fever's gone. I had a cold on top of the mastitis, so I still have cold symptoms, but I can handle that. I hate being sick.

I was better by Saturday night. Tummy still isnt sure about food but nothing exciting happens when I eat now. I never had mastitis, but I only nursed for a few months with each kid so I never really had the chance to get it. I don't want to imagine what you went thru if it hurts worse than being late for a feeding!

Once they get your credit card number they don't let go. They have dh's and he has not been able to cancel, they are impossible to contact. He even had his card cancelled and got a new one, like a virus they latched on to it as well. Do some research on this outfit before you give them money.

Sponsor something local. Every city and town has agencies that help local people that need volunteers and money to stay in business. You will get more out of volunteering a couple of hours at a shelter or a soup kitchen then writing a check that may or may not help your intended clientele.

Just my two cents.

On my side of the fence, I alraedy give my 40 hours a week to social services helping the locals.... and there are a few individuals I've become acquainted with over the years who I'd rather not ever give my hard earned money to....

When dealing with ministry and social services it is the norm to realize it is not pretty, convenient, or sometimes even satisfying. That being said often what we do is for the kids who with hope and a prayer will do better than their wretched parents. There are a couple of people on this thread alone that bear this out.
