Seriously. Sniff his hair once he gets out of the shower. They kind of start with a sort of wet dog smell. Once that starts, require daily showers, it helps.

My kids have been smelling like wet dogs for years. Thats why they have strongly coconut scented shampoo. I'm talking about BO... he wants me to smell his pits every day to see if he has man smell yet. The little one keeps making me look for hairs under his arms...

I totally did! Altho, yesterday it still hurt to take deep breaths. But yes, no more coughing or coffee scented breathing

DS#1 has never smelled even vaguely funky. He is a very clean kid though. One of his friends...icky.

Since DS#2 does everything his brother does, I do not anticipate him being any smellier. Yay!

around about 8 their feet start rotting through shoes and socks, they become HIGHLY allergic to soap, and they lose all orafatory abilities to notice the rotting 1/2 eaten sandwich under their bed or the 3 week dead hampster on their dresser (RIP Emily) so I have heard (as I have no children of my own).

This wet dog smell is not knocked out by shampoo.

But if they want the man smell, DH should be doing the sniffing.

Genetically they have decent chances of NOT stinking.
