I told Tim 2 mornings ago that my boulders were not happy and he just kind of glared at me over his coffe and finally said "there would be blood tests." and went back to the weather.
Moron.
ETA this reminds me of last August Laree, maybe I just get to have an annual fake pregnancy and then a really inconveniently timed "oh guess what you're not!"
Baby update: He's getting better sloooooooooowly. Croup usually only lasts about 3 days. When we were discharged from the hospital, Dr gave us steroid meds for 3 days, he'd already had steroids for 2 days, but figured he'd give me a few extra doses "just incase." We ended up using both those extra doses and called in to tell him the baby was still sounding bad as soon as he was off the meds, so he gave us 3 more doses. Finished those and he still sounds bad off the meds.
So I took him in yesterday. I was hoping the hoarse breathing noises were just from cold symptoms and not the croup by now. But no, it's still the croup and he gave me another weeks worth of steroids. le sigh.
And he told me Jacob will probably be prone to croup, so here's even more steroids to have on hand and make sure to know the fastest way to the ER.
He told me yesterday that when I brought Jacob in that first time, that in the exam room 2 doors down from Jacob's there happened to be an ER doctor in with their child and he was so grateful the other doc was there incase he stopped breathing and had to intubate him. I was speechless!

Yikes Belle, I'm glad he's starting to get better, and that is kind of a scary sentence!
It worries me. I always considered myself an intuitive parent, but at it's worst, I didn't think Jacob was that bad. He only sounded bad when he got himself all worked up, but when he was calm, he was breathing okay and he was nursing fine, so that's why I waited to go the Doc the next morning instead of the ER the night before.
Only to find out that it was REALLY bad and the doc actually thought he would stop breathing any moment! I'm not sure I trust my own judgement.

Did you have any close calls this month?
DH is snippy snippy. Therefore the threatened "blood tests" scowled over his mug of coffee.
He never went back after his 6 week recovery or whatever to test the count after his snippage.
I'm sure I'm NOT but it is irritating to get to be broken out with sore jugs and extra eyebrow hair for no reason.
