True. With all the older people in the house who know how to pet cats nicely, I just can't believe he picks the baby as his person. I used to be his favorite person, but I guess he just spent those 9 years with me waiting for me to create his preferred people.

He knew you had potential Belle.

Also speaking of cats, our 13 year old, Radar, has arthritis in his hips and is having a hard time getting up on the bed. I am looking for a stylish way to make him some stairs at the foot of the bed. I am certifiable.

His big toe is all blood blistered from tripping up the steps last week. He also came out with Heffed up toenails and they have NEVER attempted to "normal out" since he's been breathing air.

If you can handle rabbits, you can handle guinea pigs. I kept mine in a 20 gallon long fishtank in my room in the winter and in the summer, I let them live in a rabbit cage outdoors with the rabbits. They're dirtier than rabbits; they won't be litter box trained because they don't care where they poo or pee, even in their nest. Their food looks like rabbit food, but it's different - something about Vit C. I think they need lots more Vit C than rabbits.

They have an insanely long gestation period and very small litters - whent the babies are born, they've got a full coat, eyes open and they can eat regular food. I left my male and female together and one day walked out there to find a 3rd guinea pig in the cage. It looked like it was 3 months old. My dad was convinced that I had neglected my guinea pigs since I didn't notice they had a half-raised baby in with them.

Turns out, they're born "old".

Mine lived for treats. They sqeal whenever they saw me until I fed them something they liked.

I miss having a guinea pig.

For this and the puke reason I am ever so thankful for my allergies preventing any and all indoor pets!

Even worse, he doesn't sleep with us at night. This is just so he can be comfortable during the day while we're at work! (We need a more embarrassed smiley than that guy under the chair.)

You know those cube storage things? Just get an assortment of them......do one at the end, then two, then three....diy steps....lol
