Hi Chelle congrats on the water!

Jammies are doffed at 5:15 am in my house. Coffee consumption beings at that time and ends around noon.

The soybeans were iffy. Apparently, 30 miles north of us they were going at 40-50 bushels per acre (pretty darn good). Ours went at ~23 bushels per acre (we are always low anyways no matter WHAT the crop is because we don't have the big farmer money or equipment for fertilizer, anhydrous, etc) which met our contracted amount with a bit extra. Our neighbor works for a big farmer and they were getting 12 bushels to the acre on Monday!!!! It's usually not so ALLLLL over the place, but the ag report said this was NOT a bean year, weather was all wrong and one guy might have great beans and his neighbor might have a mud hole with drowned out plants. So crazy.

The corn looks good tho!!! I mean, ours is comparable to the guy a few miles away who is a career farmer and puts down all the anyhdrous and crap! Ohhhh I'm really trying not to get excited because I don't want to be let down if we can't go, but it looks like we might get to go to Cody for Thanksgiving after all!!!!!

Someone over there never fails to chap my behind.

This year was all about the barn. But I also managed to get a compost bin system that works so I'm hoping for some good compost next year.

Next Spring I have to repair all the damage done by all the construction equipment

so that will be the main focus of my gardening. I want to make my yard beautiful, it's pretty hum-drum really but next year will be the planning stages.

Plan a revamp of the yard, plan a garden area, plan a pavilion in the backyard, plan a WEDDING!!!!
