I have my dad's records...at least some of them. It's a hodge podge really...country, folk, jazz, opera, classical, and some odd ball ones.

If I listen to the classical will that make me smarter? Will it make my daughter do better in math? Maybe I should try it.

no no no, I need classical music to keep my brain congealed in this stupid place.

trivia: last time I used a form of the word "congeal" here it was "MISSION:Incologeal"

Sounds like what was in the middle of that cuppycake.

I'll play Italian opera for you if you come clean my house. Just a suggestion.

They do say that classical music makes kids smarter.... but, I listened to it from age 3 forward and I've done a lot of stupid things and failed chemistry by 1/2% in high school sooooooo.......... My kids like to tell me "now they are having a battle" or "the volcano jsut errupted!" when they listen to classical music with me.

No... probably because of "Fantasia"... they like to narrate the way the music sounds. I like to make them think, so I ask them "what does it sound like is going on now?" while we listen to classical pieces.
