No my friend has owned her own house for about 5 years, so they really don't "need" anything. I am thinking a cash gift maybe at this point although they are registered a couple of places.

She is a clean freak though (OCDish) so maybe cleaning goods would be a good idea. And I could throw in a dozen eggs because she thinks it's funny I have chickens in the city and is always teasing me about them.

Hrm, then. I'd just "forget" the card and mail it after the 29th then.

The cleaning basket, got me, I still think it's just cheap, but for new couples who are just starting out, I've yet to meet one who couldn't use the help. It's just the stuff that you forget you need until you are totally out and then run to the nearest 24 hour store. Shrug.
