During the school year, we put a huge emphasis on schoolwork, so the only chore outside of schoolwork is keeping their room clean, but in the summer they have to clean the:
living room
dining room
den
main bathroom
hallway
basement
do their laundry
keep their room clean
make their beds
unload the dishwasher
brush the dog
pick up toys and sticks before DH mows
and whatever else I think of when I want something done.

BTW, this is a DAILY chore list.

Anyone want to report me to social services for running my own child labor force?

Send them over, I pay cold hard cash for chores like that.

Got me, most of the other hens shimmy out of saddles in 2.3 seconds. This hen just LIKES her saddle, I think she prefers the saddle to the owies on her back.

The double strap Hen-savers actually aren't that easy to get out of. The 'dotte who wears her saddle has the new combo of saddle/bra on now. Silly girl was running around nekkid but for the saddle, molt time. So she got a new bra to wear also because it just can't be comfy running around with nothing on.

She wears the single with the bra or when she's broody, the double otherwise. Not that she takes it off, but if the roo feels like being attentive to her, the single just seems to be more likely to slip off.

The other hens just walk backwards and pitch fits with the double, and seeing as they have feathers, I don't mind.
