They way I figured it is this: If I ever need it I may be feeling very emotional and my aim could be off, plus my eyesight isn't what it was. I have a greater chance of success with a shotgun. Plus it could make a nice wall ornament for when prospective dates come over to ask permission.

My parents live in Glendale. I could never live there - the summer heat, the crowds and the traffic! My parents live in a nice neighborhood, but they've had their house broken into 3x and they've been the victim of 2 hit-and-run accidents (both times the driver appeared to be an illegal immigrant.) I could never live there.

I asked DH to pick up a lotto ticket last night. Powerball's up to 245 million. I'm sure he'd let me buy Cream Legbars at $99/day-old chick if we won that kind of money.

True, true. I've never shot a gun in my life, but even with poor aim a shotgun will get the job done. Messy, but done.
