Office Work, Part Deux: Professional Mayhen

So I watched Titan A.E. Such a good movie. Anywho in the middle of it the dogs started barking at the window. I told them to stop thinking they were barking at Scooter the neighbor cat or a squirrel. Looked out and lo and behold:


FOX!!!!

Understand this is the first year that fox have been seen around here and then only at dusk or dawn. Not the middle of the day.

Daughter grabbed BB gun and then we noticed it is running on three legs. Definitely been injured. She followed it at a distance, it sat down and looked at her but then ran down the next street over.

Tried getting a hold of my friend in animal control but he didn't answer the text soon enough and we lost track of it.

Such a pretty creature as long as it stays away from my yard during the day. ( my coop/duck house is impregnable at night)

We can't shoot since we live in the city. Big no-no and the neighbors would rat us out. Even the BB gun is illegal to shoot but quiet enough we could get away with it.

I have a constant problem with foxes. I tried free-ranging some spare cockrels and they were getting picked off one by one, so DH bought me a game camera and we found out our predator was a fox. I packed 6 boxes of office supplies and threw out at least that much. Only 4 more working days til I have my own office and do not have to listen to drama and heavy metal music all day.

What do you serve with refried beans? Do people eat it with a bowl and spoon or do you serve it with chips or tortillas? (I can't figure out how refried beans equates to pizza and hot dogs. I'm not well versed in Mexican cuisine. I've only ever used refried beans as a filling for enchiladas.)

you put the beans on a flour tortilla with a little butter and call it a bean burro.
