I don't know much about Wingwood, going to do a google search now! I
the Kastdemur animals!! I agree, they do have a lot of power, and also, just a LOOK that takes a long time to establish. You can clearly see that they know what they are breeding for! I will say that I like their La Manchas better than their Nubians. The best Nubians I have seen in real life have all been of Goldthwaite breeding or immediate descent. I like the Lakeshore animals too, at least, on the internet. I've only ever seen one actual (live, in person) Lakeshore animal, and he was just a baby at the time. It's hard to tell though, because pictures can be tricky, and you can't see how the animals actually move. And, I personally prefer black Nubians with self ears, and Goldthwaite and Saada (well, Saada USED to have, they have a lot more brown now) have that particular look that I'm such a fan of. A lot of it is personal preferance though. I like a tall, long, capacious doe, and I will take one that's a little rough around the edges over a petite but smooth version. You have to LIKE what you are breeding, 'cause they sure do take up a lot of time and money!!
I had some Nubians, but mostly I had La Manchas. And was lucky enough to live somewhat close to, meet, and buy a few animals from Marilou of South-Fork La Manchas. She's a WONDERFUL WONDERFUL woman, a great breeder, and really cares about others. Which reminds me, I haven't emailed her in quite a few months, I should do that! She's a wealth of knowledge and just has some incredible incredible animals. I really hope to get back into La Manchas while she's still breeding so I can get some base stock from her!
