Are you serious? an emu? If you tell Jeff I'll shoot you! WTH would I do with 1 emu??? for that matter, wth are YOU gonna do with an emu?????

What? You'd be happier with 2?

I just wanna be able to say I hatched one. And I want to love it and cuddle it and play with it until DH absolutely goes ballistic.
It would take him longer to hit ballistic levels if he thought I was hatching it for someone else

When is it due and what the heck do you feed it? Aren't they temperamental? I know nothing about emus.....

I haven't got it yet. I bid on an egg. I have big dreams.
I'm trying to get my emus in a row before I actually have that ginormous green eggie.

Chickenzoo has them and loves them. She says boys are more docile than girls and has a lot of good info on care and maintenance. I'd be happy to make an owners manual, should my emu aspirations become reality

To bad alpacas don't hatch from eggs........

DownSouth is the better choice.

You can hatch the Emu for me, I'll come down and ride it home.

Buffy always CLAIMS to have pictures of herself but really she should be peddling her abs of steel up here with Mike Rowe riding shotgun<insert toe tapping smilie here>

Um, Dacs? I told you to go away, but I didn't really mean for you to go away.

Oh, you were just going back to your palatial, luxurious, outrageously comfortable brand new bed & mattress for a nap? Oh. Okay then. Never mind.

In lieu of helping Michelle move, I will find said photo of baby emu and me, photograph it, and post it. So there.

I brought in a wry neck silkie last night, fed him vitamins and plopped him in the tub to recover. Tom didn't even bat an eye. He actually went and sat on the edge of the tub and introduced himself and his dog. Now they are all friends

I dunno, I read a story once when I was a kid about a bloodhound that hatched from an egg. Ummmm the dog was named fletcher and he was in a large paper mache egg. I don't remember why. But maybe you could arrange something like that.....you think the dh would fall for it?
