Geese are proportional in their nastiness to ducks. But they are smarter.
And if you are top goose, you are safe. But if not, prepare for bruises.
DH handled the appearance of a large green egg very well. It helped that as I was unwrapping it I explained it was going elsewhere, in May. he shrugged and said, "It was shipped, though, so what are the odds it'll hatch?" I said, "Same as any shipped egg. If it isn't alive by 20 days I'll cut it open and clean it out as ART."
I have a new Dremmel tool...
The emu egg is very heavy and was cold, but not frozen. It is on the dining room table coming to room temp (72 degrees). I'm about to take pics, and then examine the bators I got from Beaner. I'll let the intact bator come to temp overnight. Eggie will be set sometime tomorrow.
Who was the comedian that used to have an emu puppet tucked under his arm? I've wanted an emu ever since watching that guy perform.... (I'll bet g~ and Beaner can't answer this question as I do not think they are old enough)
Chelle, my DH wipes out our sink every day, and he gets really made if I rinse my hands after he's done wiping. At which point I always remind him that he's using my stale paper towels to wipe out, so he can have the next one, too. It's like a Laurel & Hardy routine of ours.
