Believe me, you don't want to know the details.

If i posted them, the post would immediately slide to the top of the next page a la a certain somebody's butt story.

BUMmer. (get it??)

Before I can go home I have to get DD from school, where she's staying after to whack imaginary zombies with her GURP's crew.
Then I will hug her as she whines about being touched. And then she will hug me while I'm cooking or some other inconvenient time, because she's a teenager.

Dinner is spaghetti and meat sauce with 'seedy' bread on the side and neon green Kool-aid to drink (lemon-lime, my new fave).
I may sip Amaretto afterwards, instead of hot cocoa. And not turn on the TV. Ironically, my Conan the Barbarian book is less stressful than the real world.

Dacs, are the illustrated Tolkien books claimed yet? Those were the only ones on the kid list that I didn't have or that appealed....

I don't remember. I've been waiting for more responses, only have a couple. Please email because I will forget to look at the threads and won't remember where things are in the threads anyway.

dacs, are you a closet Big Bang Theory fan?

Or did you just happen to find that?

BTW, my cats run like all heck when they hear anyone start to sing that song. Maybe because we hug them and love them and kith their widdle ears while we croon?

knock knock knock we gots
knock knock knock we gots

Yes, I am a fan. That show is hilarious.

Will e-mail you dacs...

Yes, Michelle, there was an e-mail sent with a book list.

We are total BBT addicts at my house. Tomorrow is a new episode and I'm counting on it to break me out of this gloomy fugue I've been in since last Thursday. I missed last week due to some drama that unfolded in the real world.

There's a list?

I must of missed that...

Yes, there is a list of kid books that has already been sent out. I'm working on the big people book list still.

PM me your email address and I will send you the list.

I sedond that motion.
I'm the only one that plays with all the critters and the kid.
DH only plays with one cat. And peeks in on the chicks because he wants to see if they're making enough dust to kick them out of the house.

Speaking of cats.....Lucy the kitty spent her first full day loose yesterday.....I usually lock her up while I am not home, since Frankie the big dog kind of wants to eat her. But he is getting better, and as long as she stays out of the dining room she should be fine. The dining room is gated on both ends, so even if she jumps in there, all she has to do is jump back out before she gets eaten. Frankie is the same dog who was locked in a crate with Norman the cat for over 8 hours once, with no injuries to anyone. He just doesn't like "new things" and she has been at my house over a month so hopefully she is no longer new.

Anyways, she is now a normal "house cat". I have consolidated food/water dishes to just the one set and although I have 2 litterboxes available, they are stacked one on top of the other for now. I will remove 1 in a week or so, once I'm positive they are doing fine with just 1.

She spends almost her entire life sleeping on the couch. She is so happy. She just snuggles up in the blanket on the couch and snores away. Literally. Snores. Norman is tolerating her well. She even licked his face for him last night.....

And then is what Lucy and Norman do sometimes. Norman gets fiesty when its time for dinner. Poor Lucy tries to fend him off, but he is twice the size of her.
