Loved Penny's comment: "I know the walk of shame when I see it."

(I am going to take this opportunity to somewhat redeem my tattered reputation - I have never done the walk of shame. Which makes it even funnier to see Leonard do it!)

Do you guys get along okay?

She's a wonderful person, deep down inside.
She's also a woman with very strong opinions that she isn't afraid to share, no matter how much they might hurt your widdle feelings. Sometimes she notices that she's hurt them, and tries to explain her perspective to make you feel better. The explanation never EVER makes you feel better.
We remodeled a bedroom, and DH asked, "Do you think she'll like it?" and I responded, "No, I'm sure we put the furniture in the wrong places." He laughed.
I said I had made a big pot of ham and beans in the crock pot, so she'd have something warm to eat when she gets to the house, or we'll have them for dinner if she gets there after we do. She said, "Oh, ham and beans. Okay." in a tone of voice that conveyed, "Oh, I stepped in somthing yucky. I should scrape it off."
So we have a roast beef in the fridge, for back-up.

I asked DD if she'd rather go to a poultry show or stay with my mother. She had to reeeeeallly think about it.

This could be a fun weekend or hell on wheels. You just never know, with Mom.....

The expression on her face when she first saw him was priceless!! I wasn't sure if she'd be jealous or disgusted, so her reaction was hysterical!!

"Oh the HUMANTIES!"

Unpredictable people can keep family members hostage that way. They call the shots that way.

And she probably prides herself on "just being honest", but really she's selfishly thinking that her way is best, the best ever, and you'll never achieve her best-ness. So don't even try, just say under her thumb.

Or I could be wrong.

Nope, you're right. She can be a bully at times.

And she can be warm and sweet and supportive.

The Jekyll & Hyde effect of these extremes caused me a great deal of stress when I was growing up. I'm afraid it hasn't endeared her to her now eldest granddaughter, who thinks the good times are an act and the bad times are the reality.

After therapy, I can now understand that she maybe has a major inferiority complex and borderline personality disorder.
DD just thinks she's psycho
